Yes!  These two devices are basically the same.  The knee walker, like the roll about, is a mobility device that allows someone with a foot or ankley injury to be able to complete some normal daily tasks such as shopping or going to medical appointments.

Roll A Bout is the name of a coporation that makes a knee walker device and brands their version with the same name.  So when someone is talking about a Roll About they are really talking about a knee walker or knee scooter.

When someone has had an unfortunate accident or, even worse, has had an amputation of the lower extremties, a  knee walker can aid them in their efforts to resume some form of normalcy.  Many companies sell the knee walker outright while others have options for knee walker rental.  So, for example, an amputee would obviously need a knee walker for long term while someone who sprained their ankle or had foot/ankle surgery would need onlly a knee walker rental.

A knee walker device is often instrumental in the healing process as it prevents the patient from remaining sedentary and allows them to get out and get the blood pumping a bit, all without causing any undue stress on the affected extremity.

In essence the nomenclature doesn’t matter, whether Knee Walker, Roll About or Knee Scooter, all of these innovative devices were created with the end user in mind.
