What information should I need to get my runescape account back?

My runescape account had been hacked one day ago. I have tried many times to get my account back but all failed. So what on earth information should I need to recovery my account? What Information I have to change to avoid next hack?

Please don’t waste your time playing run escape and online games. This goes for EVERYONE. I played for a bit but got tired of it. It really is a waste of time, and just a game. You get absolutely NOTHING out of it. Maybe some fun, but people get addicted to it…can’t sleep, cant do anything else but runescape.

To get it back cant you do like a password re-covrey and it sends to ur email or a secrect answer (sorry not played runescape for a long time).

To avoid make it letters and numbers and caps if it is caps sensative and dont tell anyone and change like once a week.

First, scan your computer for any keyloggers, spyware, and viruses. Remove these threats to your computer and Runescape account.

Then, if you have recovery questions, answer them. Also provide previous passwords, account creation date, membership transaction ID numbers (if you bought membership), membership payment type, etc.

Use unique information that the hacker probably wouldn’t have privy to in order to attempt a successful recovery.

Once you have sucessfully recovered the account (this normally takes at least 3 days. This is to allow Jagex time to fully investigate the claim.), change your password to one that has both numbers and letters. Random letters with numbers mixed in it is better than actual words with numbers at the beginning or end.

Next, set new recovery questions (this will take 14 days for your new recovery questions to take effect.). Pick questions in which only you will know the answer to.

Then, set a Bank PIN (if you don’t have one) or change it (if you already have one). It will take 7 days to set a Bank PIN if you didn’t already have one. If you did have one, then it will take either 3 or 7 days for it to change, depending on what you had your PIN settings at.

Avoid all sites that claim to have cheats for the game. Also avoid all auto-program downloads as many of these are known to have spyware and keyloggers buried in them. You should also avoid all sites that offer to buy or sell Runescape items or gold as these too are known to have keyloggers burried in their cookies, and have stolen information provided to steal your RS account and personal identity.

Here is what I would do – find out what your IP address is and who your internet carrier is and send them that info. This Ip address should be the one you were playing from.

I got hacked and what i did was used my recovery questions to get it back. Then CHANGE them to stop the occurance happening again. i would recommend questions that ONLY you know and therefore no one else would. Also if you had a bank pin don’t let them cancel it otherwise they could take everything Although it takes 7 days to change don’t let it happen! And change your password i make mine 21 characters long and no one has ever attempted it since. i hope this helps and Good luck getting your account back.

And scan yuour computor don’t change you recovrys before otherwise the hacker/virsus will know it so scan then change recovry questions and passwords!!!

First scan your computer for any keyloggers or spyware. If you downloaded a *cheat* for runescape scan that because that could be the case. If you ever became a member tell them and tell them for how long and for funorb or runescape. You can also tell them how many black marks you have. tell them all the passwords you recently used for your account try to answer any recoveries if you have any. when u send it it might take a few days for them to view it.

The most important information you need when recovering your account using "Someone knows my Recovery."

Your EARLIEST recovery. it always works no matter how many time you change it, the earliest recovery is always on there.

Earliest PAssword is the next most important

The Trans Code and Identification code of your EARLIEST member sbuscription

Where you made the account, what internet did you use, WHat year did you make your account. is also important.
Then there’s the small but slightly equal importance like the previous passwords.
