How can I find information on a vessel leaving a certain port at a certain date?

Author I am looking for information on a freight vessel that left NJ Bulk (that’s the USPS tracking Information) at a certain date and time, what route the vessel took and it’s whereabouts. Do Port authorities generally store and make this information available?
The best known way of tracking a ship would be with Lloyds List ship movements… although they rely on infomation that they have been sent by shipping companies and shippers so is not infalliable

What’s the shipping company. To my knowledge, the only tools of this sort are offered by the individual shipping companies. Similar to UPS or Fedex tracking.
