Battery
Almost every thing takes a battery these days! My cell phone battery stop taking a charge about 2 weeks ago and I have not had the time to find a replacement so I will be searching for cell phone batteries online today. Until now, I had not realized how difficult it is to go a few days without my cell phone.
From what I have read a battery is just a simple device that converts chemical energy into electrical energy. Of course many devices use this electrical energy to operate. Some batteries are considered primary batteries which means that they are not rechargeable and once the material within them loses its ability to create an electrical charge then they are discarded.
Secondary batteries however, are rechargeable, and are placed on a charging mechanism that is typically plugged into a wall outlet. Maybe I should investigate and reSearch the best secondary batteries for my cell phone because the one that I have did not even last a year!

How to search for death information based on a social security number?
I can find tons of places to Search death information through the SSDI by name but I have the opposite problem: I have the person’s social security number and I need to locate their death Information.
http://ssdi.rootsweb.ancestry.com/cgi-bin/ssdi.cgi
lets you look people up by SSN.
If you get an exact date, and last residence, finding an obituary will be easier. It is a start. "Death information" covers a lot of ground. You can try for an obit, which is all the biography many people get; www.findagrave.com may have your person. If you are a family member, you can buy a copy of the death certificate, which should have date, place and cause of death. If the death was recent, and the obit said your person was, for instance, a member of the Garden Club and 1st Presbyterian, you could call both organizations and ask if anyone remembered him/her.
Neon Signs
The most interesting thing about neon signs is that there is actually an inert gas inserted into the glass tubing that makes up the neon sign message. This inert gas is usually neon, hence the name neon sign, but there are other gases that may be used such as argon or helium. I believe that the gas must be non reactive with anything since there is so much voltage applied to the low pressure gas to make it light up.
Neon sign making must be a very difficult process that requires patience since the glass tubes used are straight to begin with but must be heated up, bent and shaped to form the message of the neon sign.
In one area of my town there is a strip of pawn shops, liquor stores and tattoo parlors and there must be more than one hundred custom neon signs in a very small area. I like walking down there in the evening to browse through the store windows and check out all of the neon signs. It gives our little town a sense of excitement and bustling city activity.
One day I am going to get a neon sign for my front door that says “Welcome” in flashing neon purple.
The Search For Earth-Like Planets
The search for Earth-like planets is reaching a fever-pitch. Does the evidence so far help shed light on the ancient question: Is the galaxy filled with life, or is Earth just a beautiful, lonely aberration? If things dont work out on this planet Or if our itch to explore becomes unbearable at some point in the future Astronomers have recently found out what kind of galactic real estate might be available to us. Well have to develop advanced transport to land there, 20 light years away. The question right now: is it worth the trip?
If things don’t work out on this planet…
Or if our itch to explore becomes unbearable at some point in the future…
Astronomers have recently found out what kind of galactic real estate might be available to us.
We’ll have to develop advanced transport to land there, 20 light years away…. But that’s for later.
The question right now: is it worth the trip? The destination is a star that you can’t see with your naked eye, in the southern constellation Libra, called Gliese 581.
Identified over 40 years ago by the German astronomer Wilhelm Gliese, it’s a red dwarf with 31% of the Sun’s mass… and only 1.3% of its luminosity.
Until recently, the so-called M Stars like Gliese 581 flew below the radar of planet hunters.
They give off so little energy that a planet would have to orbit dangerously close just to get enough heat.
Now, these unlikely realms are beginning to show some promise… as their dim light yields to precision technologies…
…as well as supercomputers… honed in the battle to understand global changes on this planet… Earth.
Will we now begin to detect signs of alien life?
Or will these worlds, and the galaxy itself, turn out to be lifeless… and Earth, just a beautiful, lonely aberration?
To some, like astronomer and author Carl Sagan, the sheer number and diversity of stars makes it, as he said, “far more likely that the universe is brimming over with life.”
This so-called “many worlds” view can be traced back to ancient observers… in China, India, Greece and Egypt. The Qur’an, the Talmud, and many Hindu texts all imagined a universe full of living beings.
In the 16th Century, this view got a boost from astronomer and mathematician Nikolas Copernicus… who came to believe that Earth is not the center of the universe, but revolves around the Sun.
Seven decades after Copernicus, Galileo Galilei used his newly developed telescope to show that our Sun was just one among countless other stars in the universe.
By the modern era, the “many worlds” view held sway in scientific circles. A variety of thinkers considered what and who inhabited worlds beyond our own.
From Martians desperate to get off their planet… to alien invaders intent on launching pre-emptive strikes against ours… or simple life forms on an evolutionary track to complexity.
But other thinkers have been struck by a different view.
The Greek philosophers Aristotle and Ptolemy believed that humans and Earth are unique.
With the spread of Christianity, this Ptolemaic system became widely accepted.
The latest variation on this theme is what’s called the “Rare Earth” hypothesis. It holds that Earth and sophisticated life were the result of fortuitous circumstances that may not be easy to find again in our galaxy.
Does the current Search for planets shed light on this debate… sending it in one direction or the other?
So far, our only good reference for recognizing an Earth-like planet is… Earth.
It does have some fortuitous characteristics… it’s dense, it’s rocky — with a complex make-up of minerals and organic compounds — and it has lots and lots of water.
It’s also got a nearly circular orbit around the Sun, at a distance that allows liquid water to flow… not too close and not too far away, in the so-called “Habitable Zone.”
That’s defined as the range of distance from a parent star that a planet would need to maintain surface temperatures between the freezing and boiling points of water.
Of course, that depends on the size of the planet, the make-up of its atmosphere, and a host of other factors.
And whether the parent star is large; medium like the Sun; or small.
Some scientists also believe we live in a “Galactic Habitable Zone.” We’re close enough to the galactic center to be infused with heavy elements generated by countless stellar explosions over the eons…
But far enough away from deadly gamma radiation that roars out of the center.
If there is a galactic habitable zone… it’s thought to lie 26,000 light years from the center… about where we are… give or take about 6,000 light years.

☆☆ SPECIAL! ☆☆
My Katohori Mix was mentioned by the original author on her blog! You can check that out here:
http://jvnp.blog60.fc2.com/blog-entry-68.html
A revision of my older version posted back in May. I heard this version (Katohori Mix) while doing a Search for Rin Kagamine videos. I instantly fell in love with it, but for the life of me couldn’t find an off vocal file for it.
Thankfully, my twitter followers & motokokusanagi came through with flying colors. I asked if anyone could find it for me. All of you took the time to track down his blog, twitter Information, nico profile, etc. And in the end, after a request from the mixer- I found the track that I wanted! Thank you for your kind efforts on my behalf!
I think this is far superior to the version I posted back in May 2009, but I’ll be keeping the original video up regardless as a lot of my subscribers still enjoy it and listen to it.

How to stop google image search from showing all images on one page?
It never did this before but whe I search images on google it throws all the picture on one page. I’ll scroll down and a little caption will show "page 2" "page 3" etc. What happen to the regular "Next"button? This new feature lags, and the images show up so slow, and scrolling skips pages and it takes ages to find an image.
I know google has a new feature called instant Search – turned it off. Went to picture search settings – no luck.
At the very bottom of the page, after all the results, there is a link that says "switch to basic version".
