Can you advise where to search for information on previous car owners since 1967 in the USA?
I am the owner of a majour restaurant and bar equipment supplier in Bulgaria, Eastern Europe. Since 2006 I am also the owner of an Alfa Romeo 1600 Spider Duetto from 1966 which I bought on ebay. I have the details of the previous owner but I would like to find out more on the history of this particular car before this owner. Can you advise where to search for information on previous car owners since 1967 in the USA?
No where. Who do you think would track down all this Information and put it in a database you could Search?
How Can Article Marketing Increase Your Search Engine Traffic?
There are sites on the net that serve tons of traffic everyday. Traffic you wish you had, right?
The web is made up of billions of links, much like a spider’s web but on a larger scale. Search engines spider the web looking for new content to add to their massive databases so they can rank how relevant it is to particular search phrases.
What are the search engines looking for?
New content! In order for any search engine to provide relevant results to their visitors (so their visitors will repeatedly use them) they must provide the best results possible for every search performed on their site.
The best search engine gets more traffic and more traffic means more advertising money for them – so search engines have to be up to date to stay competitive in their market.
The big sites on the net, people, for more details visit to www.ezines-success.com who have page rankings of 5 upwards, obviously serve a ton of visitors per day, provide search engines with a mass of links to follow and index. That’s why they go back to the big sites more often than the little ones.
High traffic, very popular sites are visited by the search engine robots more often than sites with little traffic. Some large sites are visited by search engines as much as 2-4 times per month.
How can article marketing increase your search engine traffic?
By submitting articles you can get links from these high traffic sites. Furthermore you can optimize your articles with your Search terms to get high rankings for that particular page. This would otherwise take weeks on a new site as oppose to a well established one such as this.
Each of these sites will have its own resource area, for more details visit to www.perfect-ghostwriter.com at the end of the article, writers include a bit of Author Information on where to find out more about them. Place your website link in here and bob’s your uncle the search engines will find your site through that link.
The more articles you submit with your website link in them, the more pages on the net you have pointing to you from high traffic sites and the better your ranking and link popularity.
Many good article sites these days create RSS feeds for each category. This provides an additional opportunity to market your site and article to people who subscribe to the feeds.

Situating Personal Information Management Practices within an Organization
Google Tech Talk
December 4, 2009
ABSTRACT
Presented by Manuel Pérez-Quiñones.
Personal Information Management (PIM) practices are the behaviors that we follow when we organize our information. This often includes emails, documents, bookmarks, pictures, etc. Research in PIM has identified a common set of activities that require support: encountering information, organizing information, filing/archiving, and reusing information. Different tools must provide different kinds of support for each one of these activities.
PIM practices become easier if the organization provides some infrastructure to alleviate the difficulty of these activities. But a larger value is that the organization can leverage these personal practices to improve the effectiveness of others and to capture that elusive corporate knowledge in an easy way.
In this talk, I will describe previous work in PIM and highlight how some of the PIM practices can be supported and leveraged from the organization point of view.
Manuel A. Pérez-Quiñones is Associate Dean and Director of the Office for Graduate Recruiting and Diversity Initiatives at the Graduate School, Associate Professor in the Department of Computer Science, and a member of the Center for Human-Computer Interaction at Virginia Tech. Pérez-Quiñones holds a DSc in Computer Science from The George Washington University. The Census Is Getting Personal
IF YOU DO NOT UNDERSTAND the difference between the short and long forms watch this video:
“The Census Part 2, Clarifications”
Many people have requested the list below:
QUESTIONS THAT THE CENSUS BUREAU REFUSED OR FAILED TO ANSWER (from Jerry Day’s Matrix News Network segment: “The Census Is Getting Personal”):
1) The Constitution authorizes government to count people but it does not authorize the taking of private information or even the names of individuals. From where does the Census Bureau derive authority to demand our private information?
2) Is there any limit to the amount and type of private information that the Census bureau may demand and collect?
3) Under what Constitutional authority does the Census Bureau collect information now from 250,000 people per month of every year?
4) The 4th Amendment to the Constitution prohibits government Search and seizure of private information without a court warrant based on probable cause, Current Census policies violate that Amendment do they not?
5) By what Constitutional authority does the Census Bureau threaten penalties for failure to provide personal information?
6) The Census Bureau claims it maintains privacy of personal information, Are there any circumstances under which law enforcement or spy agencies can access Census Information?
7) Since presumably Census data may be subpoenaed by law enforcement, may individuals refuse to answer questions according to the fifth Amendment?
Why has the Census Bureau decided to collect GPS coordinates for every home?
9) Virtually every government database has been either lost, hacked or compromised, would the Census Bureau’s claim of data security not be an outright lie or at best highly improbable?
10) How would the Census Bureau locate, protect and compensate those individuals whose data becomes compromised?
There is a great deal of confusion about the Census “short form” and “Long Form” because the Census Bureau has failed to equally publicize the two current approaches. Part of the video refers to the long form called the “American Community Survey” which has 12 pages of questions, many of which are much more probing than the short form. A PDF file of the the long form can be viewed at this link: http://www.jerryday.com/images/ACS-1-Stateside-English_web.pdf

Does anyone have information on correct landing attitude of a Schleicher AS-K13?
A club I belong to ownes 2 AS-k13′S. We want to find Information on the correct landing attitude of the glider. Our flight manual does not give the correct landing attitude (main wheel, tail wheel, tail and main, skid and main.) I have Searched the net and can not find any information that was sourced from Schleicher Aircraft Corp. in regards to the correct attitude.
we are not looking for opinions the club has enough of those we are looking for sourced Schlieker information. Most sources (Germans) say tail and main first, but once again opinions are not enough. We need proof.
You’ll touch down level on the main wheel. Just level out a couple of feet off the runway and add spoiler until you settle in. Hit the tailwheel first and you do some damage. It’s just meant for ground handling mostly. Wont even stay together if its on the ground and you make a sharp turn on rollout. Never touch down skid first.
What is the best strategy for extrapolating information from early censuses?
US Censuses from 1850 list the name of every individual in the household. Prior to that only the head of the household was listed, although household information like gender and age ranges of people in the household were also recorded. But how do you use this Information to further your reSearch (especially in finding ancestors in an area where certain surnames are common)? How do you usually follow up the information to make sure that you have recorded the right individual? What kind of information can they lead you to? Opinions, strategies, discussion and advice welcome.
I use the census to verify what else I find through family bibles, land records, wills and recollections about parents found in county histories. You are right; once five or six brothers settle in a given county and start naming their children after their paternal ancestors, it gets confusing fast. Sometimes you never do sort it out.
On a slightly different note, if you read a dozen Q in this category, and two out of the last three answers to your Q, you’ll see that you should try your question on a real genealogy board, not what amounts to a chat room for the young and inane. (Grandma_G and Robin Banks are marked exceptions.)
